Suçluluk, Utanç ve Benlik Değerinin Psikolojik Belirtiler Üzerindeki Yordayıcı Etkisi

Özet

Suçluluk ve utanç gibi duygular, bireyleri belirli alanlarda çaba göstermeye, başarıya yönelik motivasyon geliştirmeye ve sosyal ilişkilerde toplumsal normlara uygun, ahlaki davranışlar sergilemeye yönlendiren özbilinçli duygulardır. Bununla birlikte, bu duyguların aşırı ve kronik düzeyde yaşanması, bireyde duygusal ve sosyal uyum sorunlarına yol açabilmekte ve çeşitli psikolojik belirtilerle ilişkili olabilmektedir. Benlik değeri ise bireyin kendi değerine ilişkin öznel değerlendirmesini ifade eder ve düşük benlik değeri psikolojik sağlık sorunlarıyla ilişkili bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı, suçluluk, utanç ve benlik değerinin psikolojik belirtiler üzerindeki yordayıcı etkisini incelemektir. Araştırma, 18 yaş ve üzeri 215 gönüllü katılımcı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcılara Google Forms aracılığıyla çevrim içi olarak ulaşıldı. Veri toplama araçları olarak Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Suçluluk ve Utanç Eğilimi Ölçeği, SCL-90 Belirti Tarama Ölçeği ve Rosenberg Benlik Değeri Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre, Suçluluk ve Utanç Ölçeği’nin suçluluk alt boyutu puanları ile SCL-90 Belirti Tarama Ölçeği toplam puanı ve tüm alt boyut puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve negatif yönlü korelasyonlar saptanmıştır. Buna karşılık, utanç alt boyutu puanları ile yalnızca kişilerarası duyarlılık alt boyutu puanları arasında anlamlı ve pozitif yönlü bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Rosenberg Benlik Değeri Ölçeği puanları ile SCL-90 toplam ve alt boyut puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve negatif yönlü korelasyonlar elde edilmiştir; bu bulgu, benlik değeri azaldıkça psikolojik belirtilerin arttığını göstermektedir. Regresyon analizi sonuçları, SCL-90 puanlarının suçluluk alt boyutu tarafından negatif yönde, benlik değeri tarafından ise anlamlı düzeyde yordandığını göstermiştir. Buna karşın, utanç alt boyutunun psikolojik belirtiler üzerinde anlamlı bir yordayıcı etkisi bulunmamıştır. Elde edilen bulgular ilgili literatür çerçevesinde tartışılmıştır.
