Eşi Kumar Oynayan Bireylerin Evlilik Çatışması, Depresyon ve Algılanan Sosyal Destek Düzeylerinin İncelenmesi

Giriş: Kumar oynama davranışı bireyin yaşamını ve yaşamında yer alan diğer bireyleri olumsuz etkileyen toplumsal bir sorundur. Bu çalışmada kumar oynama davranışı gösteren bireylerin eşlerinin depresyon, evlilik çatışması ve algılanan sosyal destek düzeyleri kumar oynamayan bireylerin eşleri ile karşılaştırılarak incelenmiştir. Ayrıca algılanan desteğin evlilik çatışması ve depresyon arasındaki aracı rolüne bakılmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırmanın örneklemi KKTC’de yaşayan ve kartopu örneklem yöntemi kullanılarak ulaşılan eşlerinin kumar oynadığını bildiren 47 bireyden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada sosyo-demografik bilgi formu, Beck Depresyon Envanteri, Evlilik Çatışması Ölçeği ve Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Kumar oynama davranışı gösteren bireylerin eşlerinin depresyon, evlilik çatışması puanları karşılaştırma grubuna göre daha yüksek bulunmuş ve algılanan sosyal desteğin ise düşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Eşleri kumar oynayan bireylerin evlilik çatışması ve algılanan sosyal destek puanlarının depresyon puanlarını yordama durumuna göre kurulan modelde, depresyon üzerindeki etkinin %68,3’ünü açıkladığı tespit edilmiştir. Algılanan sosyal desteğin evlilik çatışması ve depresyon arasında kısmi aracı rolü olduğu bulunmuştur.
